Dong Pian Rou Gui 2016

Tea – Yancha Wulong
Harvest – November 2016
Origin – Xingcun, Wuyishan (Ban Yan)

This Rou Gui was processed in November 2016. In China it is said “Chun Shui, Qiu Xiang” literally meaning “spring water, autumn fragrance”: the spring tea has a much richer flavor, the autumn one is lighter and fragrant. We offer also the Rou Gui produced in the same farm and year but picked in spring, it can be quite interesting to compare them and see how different can these tea be depending on harvest and processing.

This winter tea is relatively “green” (low oxidation) with a buttery and fragrant flavor. It is lightly roasted in contrast with its spring brother to showcase its fragrance making it an interesting tea to try also considering the price.

Hand picked, machine processed and machine roasted.

Price is for 50 g.
